Q. Who is HCA and why did Hartford Specialists change?
A. HCA stands for Hartford Clinical Associates which is the legal name of the group but, our physicians use the business name of Hartford Specialists.
HCA is a partner of the Hartford Health Care System. This new relationship will provide you with better coordination of care with your healthcare providers. Our surgeons will have shared access to new resources, like electronic medical records, and scheduling your surgical appointments will become more efficient
Our goal is to continue providing the same great service for which Hartford Specialists is known, while bringing you the best that a strong health system can offer.
Q: Will I have the same Physician?
A. Yes, your physician will remain the same. In addition, you will have access to the network of Hartford Clinical Associate Physicians known as Hartford Specialists
Q. Will my appointment change?
A. No, all your previously scheduled appointment times will remain the same.
Q. Is the phone number different?
A. No, the phone numbers for contacting all our offices remain the same.
Q. Will my scheduled surgery change?
A. No, if you are scheduled for surgery, the date, time and place will remain the same.
Q. Will HCA accept my insurance?
A. Yes, HCA has agreements with all the same insurance companies as Hartford Specialists.
Q. Where is HCA?
A. All offices of Hartford Specialists, now known as HCA, are in the same locations.
Q. Have the office hours of operation changed?
A. All offices will continue to have the same hours of operation.
Q. Who will I get my bill from?
A. You will receive a bill from and be responsible for payment to Hartford Specialists for co-payments and deductibles, for dates of service prior to October 1, 2011. After October 1, you would receive bills from Hartford Clinical Associates for the patient’s responsibility portion for services rendered beginning October 1, 2011.
Q. What do I write on my check for co-pays at the office?
A. Make payment to “Hartford Clinical Associates P.C.” Our offices have stamps with the name instead of you having you to write the name on your check.
Q. What if I want to pay by credit card?
A. All offices have a credit card machine to accept credit card payments.
Q. What is the billing phone number?
A. The billing phone number remains the same. It is 860-524-2626.
Q. What happens to my medical records?
A. Since you will be seeing the same physician, our medical records will be transferred to HCA.
Q. Do we have to complete new paperwork when I go to the office?
A. Yes, some forms will have to be completed again.
Q. Do I need a new referral?
A. No, you should not need a new referral to see your physician.

A. Yes, we will provide the same ancillary services:
